MID LEVEL PROVIDER-NURSE PRACTITIONERS AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS:
Carousel Pediatrics is looking for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with pediatric experience who would like to work full time, on an as-needed basis or pick up extra shifts in addition to their current position. 4 hour, 8 hour, and 12 hour shifts are available. Terms are flexible. Competitive wages.

REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST:
Summary: Provide preventative care for pediatric dental patients.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work closely alongside dentists during intensive procedures
  • Must be able to perform routine procedures such as teeth cleaning, removing deposits, plaque and stains from teeth.
  • Must be able to perform diagnostic tests without provider supervision
  • Responsible for conducting examinations of gums to check for signs of disease.
  • Must be able to apply fluoride or sealant solutions to freshly cleaned teeth.
  • Responsible for taking x-rays for providers.
  • Ability to communicate and instruct patients and their parents on proper dental health and oral hygiene.
  • Ability to show patients and their parents how to brush and floss teeth properly after completing procedures.
  • Must have previous Dentrix experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education: Must have certification through CODA (Commission on Dental Accreditation) recognized program or earned a 2 year degree from an accredited educational facility.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience (preferably in pediatrics); Previous supervisory experience a plus; Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Dentrix experience a must.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:Must hold a state license in dental hygiene. Must be CPR certified.

Physical Requirements: Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, able to work in a fast paced environment, able to handle a wide variety of duties/situations, and flexible with their schedules (days, evenings, and Saturdays possible). Requires extensive sitting, standing, and walking and dexterity to perform work on a PC. Must have normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer.

REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT:
Summary:To provide assistance to the dental providers by preparing equipment, readying patients, passing equipment during procedures and generally anticipating the dentistís needs.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare equipment that will be used in dentistry procedures
  • Assist the dental providers during procedures, including passing equipment and holding the suction catheter in place
  • Ability to anticipate the provider’s needs
  • Ability to take and process x-rays
  • Obtain proper informed consents for procedures from patients or parents
  • Ability to take oral impression on space maintainers and crowns with the doctors guidelines
  • Responsible for obtaining patient charts
  • Ability to perform non-invasive procedures to prepare patients for upcoming procedures
  • Ability to instruct patients on the basics of proper oral hygiene and follow up care after procedures are performed
  • Responsible for updating patient records (as instructed by the provider)
  • Ability to set up and sterilize dental chair/equipment in a timely manner
  • Ability to present treatment plans and explain them properly to patients
  • Must have previous Dentrix experience
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory duties associated with this position.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  Ability to communicate effectively with patients in Spanish.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

DENTAL FRONT DESK:
Summary: To provide excellent customer service to our patients, by providing quality and dignified healthcare services through checking them in and out and following up with patient care, by scheduling appointments.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Greet all patients upon arrival and check them in for their appointments
  • Verify insurance benefits for patients prior to appointment time
  • Answer incoming calls from patients to schedule appointments
  • Make outbound calls to patients during slow times
  • Reconcile appointment sheets with database
  • Submit authorization requests
  • Generate patient charts
  • Translate for providers as needed
  • Obtain parent authorization and verify legal guardian of patient
  • Collect money owed for procedures
  • Complete re-evaluation scheduling in calendar along with other tasks associated
  • Create and maintains confidential new patient information
  • Other duties as assigned

    Education: Must have certification through CODA (Commission on Dental Accreditation) recognized program or educational facility. Must have up to date RDA license.

    Experience: Must have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in dental/ortho. office or related capacity, with front desk or dental assisting experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is required. Dentrix experience a must.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:
Summary: Carousel Therapy Services is looking for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) with pediatric experience to work in our Springdale and Riverside locations. Percentage of time at each location will be based on patient need. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills and willingness to supervise or experience with supervision of a COTA are also desired abilities for this position. Schedule would be four ten-hour days (Monday through Thursday). Therapists work in Carousel's Medical locations so communication with the Medical staff is an added bonus. OTs work alongside PTs and STs in collegial environments. The Therapy Services Manager is a SLP-CCC, so your part of the business is always knowledgeably represented in discussions with the Corporate office. Front desk staff members handle authorizations and scheduling allowing you to focus on therapy and your patients. Wages are competitive and based on experience and abilities. We also offer a bonus plan based on individual monthly productivity. Carousel pays up to $1,500 in relocation expenses and provides $1,000 annually for CEU expenses with three paid professional days for those activities.

BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:
Summary: Carousel Therapy Services is looking for a full-time Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric experience to work in our Springdale location. Willingness to supervise or experience with supervision of Assistants is also a desired ability for this position.  Weekly supervision meetings are built into the schedule to help ensure supervision requirements are met. Assistants’ rooms are located close to the supervisor’s room to enhance the ability to monitor the caseload.  Schedule is four ten-hour days (Monday through Thursday). Therapists work in Carousel’s Medical locations so communication with the Medical staff is an added bonus. SLPs work alongside other disciplines in a collegial environment. The Therapy Services Manager is a SLP-CCC, so your part of the business is always knowledgeably represented in discussions with the Corporate office. The front desk staff member handles authorizations and scheduling allowing you to focus on therapy and your patients.  Wages are competitive and based on experience and abilities.  We also offer a bonus plan based on individual monthly productivity. Carousel pays up to $1,500 in relocation expenses and provides $1,000 annually for CEU expenses with three paid professional days for those activities.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST:

Schedule would be four ten-hour days (Monday through Thursday).  Therapists work in Carousel's Medical locations so communication with the Medical staff is an added bonus.  PTs work alongside OTs and STs in collegial environments.  The Therapy Services Manager is a SLP-CCC, so your part of the business is always knowledgeably represented in discussions with the Corporate office.  Front desk staff members handle authorizations and scheduling allowing you to focus on therapy and your patients.
